Mini storm lantern in horse chestnut for outdoor use.  The timber comes from a beautiful piece of rippled timber from a tree which has been dated to have been planted between 1700 and 1720.

The tealight is located in a small glass container; my outdoor tealight holders are now supplied with a citronella tealight (whoich repels mosquitoes and other flying nasties). The glass tube, which sits in channels in the base and in the wooden top, stops breezes blowing the tealight out.

Please note that this is a handmade product from a natural material so while, the sizes of each one are as close as possible, small variations are likely.

Care instructions

When in use, do not put anything over the hole at the top. To light in any sort of wind, take the glass top off, light the tealight and replace the glass in the channel.

Made on my lathe with standard turning tools. I buy the glass cut to length and flame polished at the ends.
