Paperweight in ripple ash with inserts of panga panga (millettia stuhlmannii, a common tree of sub-Saharan Africa). I sandwiched a slice of panga panga between two pieces of nicely rippled ash, then turned and shaped it and, as usual with my paperweights, hollowed out the inside which I then filled with metal - to give it weight. I then filled the hole at the top with panga panga and, when the glue had set, made another hole to be filled with ash.

It comes in a presentation box.
