Paperweight in ash with inserts of bubinga.   I sandwiched a slice of bubinga between two pieces of ash, then turned and shaped it and, as usual with my paperweights, hollowed out the inside which I then filled with metal - to give it weight. I then filled the hole at the top with more bubinga, making sure that the grain lines all line up in the same direction.
 
To do what it says on the presentation box it's supplied in It weighs nearly 400 grams, so don't drop it on your foot!
