Paperweight in horse chestnut from an estate in Northamptonshire known to have been planted between 1700 and 1720.  Like all my paperweights the centre is filled with metal to give it the weight to function properly and in the centre I fix a genuine British coin dating from the same period; this one is dated 1709 .  Sold in a presentation box.

Dust as necessary - it weighs over 400 grams (nearly one pound in old money) so don't drop it on your foot!
