One of my discus artforms.  The core of this piece is burr London plane - a beautiful example which I was lucky to obtain.  The central portion is sapele.  The beads add interest to both sections.

The base, which I hope is elegant and unobtrusive, is also in plane.  The fitting of the discus to the base allows the discus to be displayed at any angle round the 360 degree circle.

A statement piece to accompany an art collection and sit strategically on a shelf.
